ATRA Kecskemét Kft, Hungary offers mobile and on-site tyre service from eight sites/locations covering all of Hungary. In order to handle larger wheels and tyres and to expand their mobile and on-site offerings, Somos Tibor, ATRA CEO, in 2019 invested in an Easy Gripper 2400-2T Compact. Bringing the Easy Gripper mounted on a JCB telehandler along together with a mobile tyre fitting station on a service truck to their customers’ sites, has enabled ATRA to fit the largest mining machine tyres in the country on-site.

AF Anlegg are right now building 18.6 kilometres of a new four-lane highway between Kristiansand and Mandal as part of the New Veier's E39 portfolio. With a framework of NOK 4.7 billion, the contract for the E39 Kristiansand West - Mandal east project was Norway's largest comprehensive contract for road construction at the signing point.
“We chose to go with the Easy Gripper on our new road construction to further enhance the safety of our workers as this is our highest priority. With all the heavy machinery we deal with on the construction site, like CAT 775 and CAT988 we also managed to improve efficiency with the Easy Gripper” – Martin Nygård explains.

With the investment in a truck with a crane-mounted Easy Gripper, KM Däckservice have opened an entyre new business area. They are now able to profitably deliver and install tyres more than 250 km from their tyre centres, with only one man in the truck.
“Customers in villages like Vuollerim had to travel 110 km to our nearest tyre facility to get e.g. 25” tyres replaced. Now we can offer on-site service – and what previously took two men 8 hours can be done with one man in just 4 hours. With lower costs and shorter production stop for the customers - so, this is truly a win-win situation“ - Jarmo concludes.

”.. they did not understand what we had done!”
Bänex invested in an Easy Gripper, mounted it on their new Volvo front loader, and in a container, they installed state of the art compressor, tools, tyre machine etc. With this setup, they have reduced their installation time for e.g. a CAT775 with 50% - allowing the users to call in the morning and be in operation again the same afternoon.
Erik Bänecke tells about their first experience with their new Easy Gripper: “On our first operation with the Easy Gripper, at a site in Halle, changing 2 pcs 23,5R25 tyres, the purchase department called us afterwards, as they did not understand, what we had done. We had been on-site, changed the tyres without having to get assistance from their own staff or lending a forklift. Less than 2 hours later we had left the site again”.
“They simply did not understand how we could do it. The fact that we do not have to be assisted by the customer’s men or machinery is really a competitive advantage. And the customer gets back to full operation much faster”, he continues.
